Also known as dark under eye correction and under eyes hollow correction. The deep crease found between the upper cheek and the lower eyelid is your tear trough area. Tear troughs can be an inherited facial feature or a sign of aging that develops as your face looses volume and the skin under the eyes begin to thin. Dermal fillers can be used to fill the hollowness under the eyes. This has the effect of lightening the skin under the eyes and fills the deep tear trough crease resulting in a much brighter and youthful appearance to the under eyes.

ARE YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR UNDER EYE FILLER?

Under eye fillers can help with tear troughs, dark circles, skin crepeness and small eye bags however fillers can not lighten dark circles that are genetic nor can they correct 'heavy bags' (fatty tissue) caused by aging.

In these cases a candidate may achieve a more satisfactory result from treatments such as mesotherapy or by surgical intervention. It is for this reason a consultation and assessment from a clinician is vital so that expectations can be met.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH DOES TREATMENT COST?
The price of treatment will vary depending on what treatment is being carried out and the quantity of product being used. Please see prices . Please note it’s important to be individually assessed for an exact treatment quote, as product quantity will vary from person to person. All treatments should be paid for in full prior to starting the treatment. This is the policy of Clinic Four Limited.
I'M SCARED OF PAIN. WHAT PAIN MANAGEMENT OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
Anesthesia is a way to numb the area being injected so that you don't have any pain during the treatment. We provide 2 types of anesthetic solutions.

1. Topical anaesthetic: Topical creams like EMLA can be applied to the face and will provide a little anaesthesia. However, it needs to be left on for at least 30 minutes prior to the procedure.
2. Local anesthetic: For a more profound anaesthetic effect, a local anaesthetic, like that undertaken at the dentist, can be administered.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE USED AND IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?
There are hundreds of products on the market these days. Each range has specific indications and their own unique properties. Whats most important is the safety and how well it breaks down in the case of an emergency/complication. Other factors we look at when purchasing products is how much long term scientific data is available about the product, how long it lasts for and is it CE certified and FDA approved.

Using a safe and well tested product often means the cost price of the product and hence the treatment may be more expensive than other less safe or unstable fillers available on the market. Revolax is an example of a cheaper more generic product, lots of practitioners use to offer cheaper treatments. At Clinic Four we use more premium products such as Aliaxin, Teosyl and MaiLi. There is little difference between premium quality products. The results however are almost entirely based on the skill of the practitioner performing the treatment.
